Troops 1346 (Burke, VA) and 995 (Springfield, VA) completed the final stages of a multi-year project to rid part of the museum’s property of invasive species that were threatening the health of its woods and natural watershed. The projects were completed to fulfill Eagle Scout requirements for Matthew Baird (Troop 136) and Christopher Comer (Troop 995). Earlier stages of the overall project handled by other Scouts included drainage and runoff improvements. Native plants and flowers will be introduced selectively beginning in the spring of 2022 to further enhance the natural appearance of the wooded area.

We are very grateful to the many troops that have given their time over the years to keep the museum in the best condition possible. Thank you!
