The Herndon Historical Society is very pleased to announce a special presentation taking place at the Herndon Historical Society’s Depot Museum (717 Lynn Street, Herndon, VA). This special presentation is named The Caboose Comes to Herndon! The presentation will take place on September 28th at 7:00 PM.
The guest speaker will be Lea Coryell, former president of the Herndon Historical Society, who was instrumental in the town of Herndon getting its vintage caboose in 1989. The presentation will include many photographs from 1989-1990 and a video which shows how the caboose came to town and was restored. This presentation will be of great interest to rail enthusiasts, history buffs and children alike.
